Avondale, PA: Inniscrone Golf Course
The new hotbed for golf is Southern Chester County. Within the past three years, two new courses have won national acclaim, Wyncote, named America's third best new public course in 1995 and Hartefield National, a Tom Fazio design, that was recently named one of the top ten best daily fee courses in the United States by Golf Magazine. This trend will continue with the opening of the Inniscrone Golf Club in 1998.

Avondale, PA: Loch Nairn Golf Course

Exton, PA: Whitford Country Club

Glen Mills, PA: The Golf Course at Glen Mills
The Golf Course at Glen Mills is linked directly to the Glen Mills School, founded in 1826, which is a residential facility for troubled youth. The course is a training facility for students in turf management and golf house operations. Revenues go to a student scholarship fund. The course, designed by Bobby Weed, has five sets of tee boxes, a warm up area and large putting green and is getting rave reviews from golfers in the area.

Honeybrook, PA: Honeybrook Golf Club
This new par-70, 18-hole public course is nestled among Amish farms at the western tip of Chester County, Pennsylvania. Honeybrook features a mixture of wide-open links, tree-lined fairways, subtle elevation changes and protected wetlands. The historic West Branch of the Brandywine Creek winds its way through the course and provides beautiful vistas and challenging play. Landenberg, PA: Chisel Creek Golf Club
Chisel Creek was built by Niebur Golf, voted the 1998 National Builder of the Year and the same people who build Fieldstone Golf Club, an awesome private course in Delaware. Malvern, PA: Chester Valley Golf Club
Chester Valley Golf Club located in Malvern PA was founded as the Pennsylvania Golf Club in 1930, before being renamed Chester Valley in 1948. The original course was designed by Perry Maxwell, and later revised by George Fazio in 1964. Newtown Square:  Aronnimink Golf Club 
This course was built in a wooded area. Water hazards come into play on one hole on the front nine, while the hilly back nine is best known for its tree-lined fairways. Oxford, PA: Wyncote Golf Club
Designed by renowned architect Brian Ault, Wyncote is a heathlands-style course offering generous bent grass tees, greens and fairways, blended with moguls, mounded bunkers, wetlands and windy rises to challenge every golfer. Opened in 1993, Wyncote is already a nationally-ranked golf course, receiving Golf Digest's highest award, including Pennsylvania's Best Public Golf Course - 1995, and 3rd Best New Public Golf Course - 1993.

Paoli, PA: Waynesborough Country Club
This course was built on rolling terrain and has somewhat tree-lined fairways. There are several ponds and creeks that come into play on many holes. Guests are not allowed to play this course without the presence of a member. The 6,121-yard men's tee also has a ladies' course rating of 75.4 and a slope of 131. The greens are medium in size and speed.


Peach Bottom, PA: Pilgrim Oak Golf Course
Pilgrim's Oak is a new 18-hole championship course located in Southern Lancaster County, PA, just 10 miles from U.S. Route 1. Quarryville, PA: Tanglewood Manor Golf Course and Country Club
